Our "Not So Bummer Summer"

While I was still enrolled in school this summer, we've managed to have a lot of fun. We went down to Cedar for Summer Games again and we were just as successful as last year. The family ran a 5K in West Jordan and Murray for the 4th and Abbi, Mike and I ran the 10K on Pioneer Day. We loaded up in June for a big family camping trip and enjoyed our annual trip to Park City as Abbi and Ty played in the tourni up there. Karli had two soccer tournis with a new team. All the kids ran track and improved greatly from their best last year. We found the sun as much as possible squeezing in Seven Peaks as often as we could. And Abbi and Karli have started baby-sitting--seriously!
With all of this, my garden has totally suffered! It's pretty much non-existent--oh well. Thank goodness for U-picks, we are out of salsa!

Camping with family and friends. The kids couldn't get enough of the zip line.

Here we are at Hoover Dam. We also went to Zions Park this summer.

We had to visit our favorite History Channel T.V. show location--Pawn Stars.

Abbi just finishing her mile run in the all county track meet. She took first with a time 6:14. Her all time high, killing any followers! Pretty amazing for a ten (now eleven) year old.
Karli finishing her race. She improved a great deal this year finishing in the middle of the pack in all her events. She uses track to stay in shape for soccer :)

Tyler finishing his race and hating every minute of it. His strength is shot put--he has the best grunt in all county! (And his toss isn't too shabby :))

End of summer marks the beginning of school . . .
